Preschool Learning Express Academy Inc: A Closer Look

Nestled in Newark, Delaware, Preschool Learning Express Academy Inc offers early childhood education services. While this institution aims to cater to the developmental needs of toddlers, the experiences shared by parents reveal a mixed bag of feedback regarding its accessibility and overall environment.

Accessibility Features

One notable aspect of Preschool Learning Express Academy is its commitment to accessibility. The facility includes a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that families with mobility challenges can safely access the premises. This level of accessibility is essential for fostering an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their physical abilities, can learn and grow together.

Parental Experiences

However, several parental reviews highlight significant concerns about the school's handling of children's emotional and behavioral needs. One parent shared their frustration, recounting how their two-year-old son struggled to adjust to the new environment after a difficult transition from Florida. They pointed out that the staff seemed unprepared to provide the necessary support and understanding during this adjustment period. Instead of accommodating typical toddler behaviors, the school reportedly labeled the child as having a behavioral issue.

This sentiment was echoed by another parent who felt that their child's natural developmental phases were misunderstood by the staff. They emphasized that the expectations set by the school might not align with the reality of managing a classroom full of young children, particularly those adjusting to new surroundings.

Positive Feedback

In contrast to these negative experiences, there are also positive testimonials from families who have found success at Preschool Learning Express Academy. One parent praised the dedication of a specific teacher, Mrs. Pam, who went above and beyond to assist in potty training their child. This showcases the potential for nurturing care when teachers are responsive to the needs of both children and parents.

Conclusion

In conclusion, while Preschool Learning Express Academy Inc in Newark, Delaware, boasts essential accessibility features like a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance, the varied experiences of parents indicate that the quality of care may fluctuate. Parents should carefully consider both the positive and negative feedback as they make decisions regarding their child's early education and emotional support. Every child's experience is unique, and ensuring a customized approach could significantly impact how they thrive in such environments.

Lisa Hernandez (6/3/25, 1:53 AM):
I must say, I had the most dreadful experience with this preschool. The owner and staff are simply atrocious. It's quite evident that they are all quite clueless and lack the basic skills required for their roles. My little lad is only TWO years old. We've had unfortunate encounters at a previous daycare where he was subjected to being hit and bitten by other children. On top of that, we recently relocated from Florida, so understandably, everything is a bit of a struggle for him at the moment. Despite explaining this to them, they seemed to feign comprehension.

During his adjustment period, he had bouts of crying, screaming, and hitting. We deduced that these were learned behaviors from his prior daycare. AND HE IS ONLY TWO, it's known as the "terrible twos" for a reason. My son was not afforded a fair opportunity to acclimate. They seem to expect the children to be flawless, robotic beings. The proprietor, KATHY GORDON, is simply horrid and seems to prioritize money over the well-being of the children. They did not make the utmost effort to assist my son in transitioning and adjusting; instead, they hastily labeled him as having behavioral issues or developmental delays. EACH CHILD IS UNIQUE, THUS YOUR APPROACH SHOULD BE CUSTOMIZED TO THE SPECIFIC CHILD YOU'RE DEALING WITH. This establishment attempted to brand my son for regular toddler conduct!!!!! If they truly have over 20 years of experience, they should be aware of this fact!!!! Crying is normal, especially during an adjustment period. Hitting is typical toddler behavior. My son had ONE incident of biting involving a teacher, NOT another child. I even informed them that he doesn't exhibit these behaviors at home!!!!! I provided suggestions on redirecting and aiding him in feeling more at ease, but they disregarded these and promptly expelled him after only a fortnight!!! He was not given a fair chance to adapt and settle in. Furthermore, the staff consists mainly of young ladies who probably lack any substantial experience. I strongly advise against enrolling your child here unless you birthed a robot.
