Missouri provides a well-rounded educational program for the deaf children of the state through the facilities and services of the Missouri School for the Deaf. The Missouri Legislature established MSD in 1851, and it is the oldest state supported school of its kind west of the Mississippi River.
The school serves the entire state of Louisiana and is a 24 hour residential facility. LSD is a comprehensive educational program serving the social and educational needs of students who are deaf, deaf-blind, and deaf multihandicapped.
The Wisconsin School for the Deaf provides a well rounded educational environment that prepares students to achieve their potential and to function appropriately in both deaf and hearing cultures.
